About Working SolutionsĀ®

Working Solutions provides work-from-home opportunities to folks across the United States and Canada. Launched in 1996 when the Internet did not have Google, YouTube or Facebook, this private, woman-owned company began as an idea that sparked the work-from-home šŸ” movement, and ultimately, the gig economy.

Since then, Working Solutions evolved into a customer experience business process outsourcing (BPO) leader, with operations in the United States and Canada. The company has served some of the worldā€™s best-known brands, including Fortune 500 clients, and now boasts a network of 150,000+ agents across the United States and Canada.

Working Solutions continues to innovate and influence the ever-changing, remote workforce. Its on-demand, virtual business model enables customer service during a crisis, be it hurricanes or the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are shaping the future of customer experience BPOā€” providing flexible, independent contractor work in customer care, sales and tech support and continue to innovate and influence the ever-changing gig-economy.

What Makes Us Different

Set your own hours, select your clients and do businessā€”all from your home or any secure location as long as you have a valid Canadian or U.S.-based address, located in a state in which we do business*. Our friendly workplace and agent events šŸŽ‰ are well known in the industry. Led by Kim Houlne, founder and chief executive, they generally are held several times a year all across the country. As a company, we also provide ongoing professional education and development at no cost to you.

Multicultural

We believe diversity is an integral part of a caring culture and take inclusion to heart. We welcome agents and applicants with diverse backgrounds and interests. We are proud of our diverse WooHoo! Crew, representing every race, color, religion, gender, non-binary, national origin, disability status, veteran status and sexual orientation. We celebrate šŸŒˆ month and we do not tolerate racism in any form.

Community Involvement

We provide thousands of hours of volunteerism each year. Our community outreach is a natural outgrowth. It deepens our roots and enriches relationships not only within our own communities, but also extends at times throughout the šŸŒ.

Works include:

At the year-end, Working Solutions selects three organizations, providing each a donation as a show of additional support. Charity begins at home and in the workplace. Whatā€™s given to others is gotten back, many times over, in shared benefits and blessings.

Helping at Home

ā€œFor us, homeshore is hometown,ā€ said Kim Houlne, president and chief executive of Working Solutions, headquartered in Plano, Texas. To help families gain economic stability, she serves on the cityā€™s Self-Sufficiency Committee. It helps residents, especially single mothers, pursue employment and save money to buy a home. ā€œI see it working. They are engaged, really wanting and willing to do it.ā€

Creating a Caring Culture

Company president and chief executive Kim Houlne is a student of different management styles, having experienced both good and bad.

As an employee at several companies and later a consultant, sheā€™s run the gamut. From competitive workplaces to detached management to leaders who do right by peopleā€”her preferred style.

From the start, Kim sought to establish ā€œa high degree of emotional intelligenceā€ in creating a caring culture at Working Solutions
